Product Description

A1730

Note:

- When any of the control buttons are turned on, even if no devices are being charged, there will still be a certain amount of no-load power consumption. Therefore, it’s recommended to turn off the control buttons after using them to avoid draining power.

- Use a solar charger with a 7.9 mm x 0.9 mm DC port.

- The max power output of the AC port is 300W. If you use the AC port for devices greater than 300W, PowerHouse will automatically turn off.

- 108,000mAh is the total nominal rated capacity of the internal battery cells.

- PowerHouse recharges via the DC and USB-C ports simultaneously until it reaches 81%, then the USB-C port automatically switches off and DC charging continues.

- If you feel that the battery drains fast when used for the first time, it is because the display information of the remaining power is inaccurate when the product is activated for the first time. The power remaining will automatically calibrate by discharging the battery to 1% and then recharging it to 100%.

Deliver as advertised - Great value while on sales
Summary:PH II 400 delivers what is advertised. I am overall satisfied with the purchase and would recommend it.But I can only give it 4.5 star due to the USB-C issue, but otherwise great value while on sales.Bought the Anker PowerHouse II 400 knowing there could be an issue needing a manual reset (see other reviews for detail resolution) because:1) Right fit: Both max output and capacity meet the criteria of my use cases without having to pay $100+ for the next step up.2) Value: It was on sale, after discount it is 1.3Wh/$, beating Jackery's deal of similar models at the time (1.0-1.2Wh/$). Jackery E160 has higher Wh/$ but not meeting all my use case criteria even if I buy two of them, also some reviews mentioned only model E240 and up has smart fan, so higher drainage...3) Support: Great customer service from reviews, I feel confident if things go south. Anker also is a name brand for power bank so risk of fire hazard is lower.Use Case 1:Emergency power supply for a CPAP machine (ResMed AirSense 10)They recommend to use DC for better result, but the DC to DC converter cost ~$30.So the thinking behind is to get capacity large enough for AC to work that last at least 8+ hours.(Unless someone wake up in the middle of the night to change battery...)Using AC with humidifier ON, it showed output as 85W, and estimated to last less than 5 hours. With humidifier turned OFF, it showed output as 24W and estimated to last 13+ hours. For power outage once in a while I am OK without humidifier.I would recommend plug in the unit for charging so if power come back in the middle of the night, pass through charging will automatically start supplying power.Use Case 2:Emergency power supply for entertainment systemThe AC parasitic drain is ~5-10W per display. As test I used a power strip to plug in the following devices and turn them on one by one.The 5.1 ch receiver (~50W) also supplying power to the subwoofer (~10W) took a couple try before it can be turned on, but it stayed on once it did.Xbox One (~30W)Nintendo Switch (~10W)LCD Projector (~120W+)A total output of ~250W is estimated to last ~1.5 hours at full charge. (Pictures 1)In the actual event, I will probably have less than full charge and turn off some features if I need it to last through a movie.Use Case 3 is about work, but I turned it into a test for the unit's estimation accuracy and perfromance.Lots of reviews on other products stated the watt hours were over-advertised, and depleted sooner than expected.Jackery did well in this space for delivering what was stated, I am curious if this hold true for PH II 400.By itselfs:DeLL 24" Monitor 45WLG 24" Monitor 25WThinkPad 45WExcluded the Modem/Router and to have a nice rounded total output of 100W.A total output of 100W is estimated to last ~3.7 hours at 94% full.11:30AM 3.7hrs 94% full12:00PM 3.2hrs 81% (fan started to run a couple secs once every min or so)...03:00PM 0.3Hrs 12%03:15PM 0.1Hrs 5%(see Picture 2 for result)The power last for 225+ min(3.75hrs), more than what was initially estimated, so I stopped at 5%.Usually we should not discharge the battery below 10%, hopefully not much damage done...Other Detail:The unit arrived at 20% full and 5 days earlier than estimated. It came with 60W DC wall charger, and I charged it simultaneously with my Samsung super fast phone charger, which gave a total input of 80W.I checked on it when it reached ~95%, the input reading drop back to 60W, not taking any power from my phone charger through USB-C.This is my first power station, I guess either this is how rechargeable battery works or that was related to programmed control to protect the unit from over charging.Either way it is taking longer than expected to charge to full.It has pass through charging ability, when output power is lower than the input, it shows the difference as input power, and nothing for output. It turned out the USB-C input worked but output did not, so the reset(lock mode) took care of the problem.I don't have a MacBook to test the 60W USB-C Power Delivery (PD) claim, but while powering my ThinkPad, the output hovered around 40-50W.Also for your reference:Using the USB-A to charge my phone shows an output of 12W, phone shows "Charging".Using the USB-C to charge my phone shows an output of 17W, phone shows "Fast Charging".Using the Samsung super fast charger (output of 20W), phone shows "Super Fast Charging".Hope this is helpful.
